Little Voices

Royston Little Voices is an arts group for children aged between five and nine year's old. We aim to inspire and engage children in creative music and drama activities.

    Spring 2010!
Royston Little Voices six week workshop begins week beginning the 26th January and there will be no classes the week of the 16th Feb. (Half term) See Group Details for days and locations.

Our group benefits from being made up of three experienced and local music practitioners with a wide of experience across this age range.

See Contact Us page to join us and Group Details for class locations and dates.

Little Voices meet each term for six workshops. They are split into two age groups, reception and year one and years two and three. Usually the workshops run around a theme which covers a broad range of musical styles and traditions.

Our aim is to provide a balance of singing, playing of tuned and un-tuned percussion instruments, listening to music as well as movement, dance and drama.

For example: The Circus with songs, compositions, movement, dances and drama all round the circus theme which we then share with our parents, carers and friend at the end of term.

Occasionally Little Voices are invited to play to bigger audiences and this is always a valuable experience. We also have visiting artists and teachers who give us extra experiences that we would not usually get. There is a great 'tea time club' feel about the whole Little Voices group with no pressure just pure fun!

Little Voices run on Tuesday evenings at Roysia School, Burns Road, Royston for three weeks either side of the school half term dates for Royston Hertfordshire. If you are interested in joining this group contact us via this web site and we will invite you along to our next set of sessions.
